Jap Culture + Art Gallery + iLight

There's some issue uploading photo onto blogger using this Acer laptop. So I delayed the uploading of pictures on the tour with Mr. Museum.

It was tiring, yet quite interesting as we went to visit the Japan Culture Centre's exhibition on Japanese Manga and Anime, held with Animax.

The moment I stepped in, I felt like home. Short tour is given by Cosplayers and I was lucky to get the handsome one. ^^ When he talked about the walls pasted with library-like poster, I almost teared as it is an imitation of the Kyoto Manga Library that I always wanted to visit.

There is also a corner with manga and magazines free for us to browse. I saw giant posters of popular Anime like Inuyasha, Nodame Cantanibel, Kaichou Maid de Sama, etc. They even offered to give us free japanese manga as a token, but too bad I don't understand a word.

Next, we went to visit the soon-to-be National Art Gallery. The Supreme Court and City Hall will be closed for renovation and only available 2 years later, according to Mr. Museum.

Mr. Museum took most of the photo as I felt inferior in terms of photo-taking skills. It's a pity as the architecture was beautiful.

Lastly, we visit the iLight event along Marina Bay.

The night was romantic but also increased the amount of light pollution in Singapore. Now I understood what my China teacher meant when she complaint that Singapore is too "bright" that she feels hot even at night (due to the heat emitted from the light). However, most of the exhibits claims to use LED lights, which supposed to be less energy consuming and less heat emission.

My favourite is the giant eggshell that allows us to enter (without footwear) and look out from a hole above. Amazingly, the moon is right there, with some faint clouds. Natural beauty, solidation from the outside sound, and no distractions from fellow observers since it's too dark.
