Here goes nothing

Although I planned to prepare a whole new portfolio, I realized that it is better to show off what I have done these years and how my art pieces have developed over the years! :)

However, it did sadden me when I found yellow patches on art pieces, especially on my O Level pieces. I digged out whatever is presentable and intend to go for "war".

Anyway, I am very very very very anxious about the interview because portfolio is just a pre-requisite. What if I cannot answer the interview questions?! What if they don't like me!? Oh well, this year is a bad year for dragon thus I am not carrying any hope. Just gonna do my best and see how it goes...

As usual, before I sign off, here are some art pieces~



Stopped drawing after this because my uncle commented that it is just copying and not real art. Quite pissed but I figured he was speaking the truth...

Okok, these are actually not art pieces because I WASN'T THE ONE WHO DREW THEM! I did these for school's orientation camp 2 years ago (2010) which theme is Final Fantasy. Too bad I did not collect back the hard copies thus can only print these original on paper.

I love my phone!

Got my samsung galaxy SII last year dec and it looks really clean with its white cover. What makes it more adorable is that it has an application "SketchFun" which makes simple strokes look so artistic!!! HAHA... Anyway, here are some scribbles from last year that I forgot to share.

First drawing done at Clementi hawker centre while waiting for dinner to be served. Mr. Crabby drawn as I looked at the fish tank of crabs struggling to leave our sight, hoping to stay alive I guess. Poor crabs...

Second drawing while watching "花花世界花家姐" - totally no link, but I just tried circling and ta-dah! flowers appeared.

Several attempts to draw a beautiful lady with perms, bangs and thick 'n long eyelashes, only to realize that I overestimated myself. Thus, I just leave it like that feeling fed up.

Big Mama Fish! I wanted to draw a person but after the eyes and the thick lips, I decided I will draw a fish. The lips remind me of Big Momma, not sure why, but I really like the name! :p

Circles are draw hoping to create an effect shimmering backstage since Black Americans (no offence!! >.<) are often associated with powerful vocals and performance ability.

Was playing this app again while eating dessert at Yumi Yoghurt and QQ wanted to draw a dinosaur. I vaguely remembered how the teeth of a monster should look like, and thus started out and after MUCH effort, the nostril was drawn. Failed to add its scales since there was an issue with the area around its nostril.

Drew this when I got upset over something and felt very lonely. Somehow, drawing relieves my negative emotions and I felt much better after that. :)


Tried to create icons that symbolises Christmas but got stuck after the peppermint candy bar, thus just scribbled "Merry X'Mas". Sadly, only Jac understood what this drawing is...
Randomly tried creating a pond of koi and ripples triggered by raindrops from an approaching drizzle. It does look more like guppies to me. HAHA! Oh well, they ARE scribbles~

Still hoping for my semester leave to be approved but got myself into a horrible state of emotion break down. But as I continue my passion of teaching, I want to take up enrichment class and even part-time certification course from NAFA once I saved enough.

Meanwhile, I intend to start a Learning Portfolio that contains drawings of what I learnt in Science / World affairs. Hope I can pull this off without giving up halfway. FIGHTING!!

Bye Bye 2011

Decided to take a break from my studies so that I can re-consider my options. Once this decision was taken, I felt myself relaxed and here are two pieces of "art" I did.

The first one is a painting canvas which QQ gave me months ago and I only managed to push myself to finish it recently with the help of Lin. I was disappointed with my skills at first, but changed my mind when I saw how it turns out after the paint dried. <3

The second one is just a card and the keychain beside it is the present I chose for Jac Jac. Knew that I had to buy it from the first look since it is the symbol of Jac's fav character - Chopper - and despite being sold in comic connection, it looks pretty detailed and classy. :)

So these art pieces are the finale of 2011, I guess. As for the start of 2012, I bought a sketchbook and 2B pencil. Before I save up enough money to sign up for NAFA certification classes, I shall pick up drawing on my own again.
